The Nationals Arts Centre - Canada Day Weekend and Grand Re-Opening Celebration

Throughout both days, the NAC will be offering so much free entertainment in a welcoming and secure environment. On Canada Day, the NAC is encouraging patrons to travel light when coming downtown. Bags will be hand-checked at NAC entrances, and there will be a free coat check for large bags and strollers.

Tim Hortons Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival
(June 22-25, 2017)  Mooney’s Bay Park, 2960 Riverside Drive
This free outdoor festival is a celebration of culture, heritage, the arts and sports. Every year the festival hosts exciting dragon boat paddling races as well as live music performances from up-and-coming bands. Admission is free for all races and concerts! This year the four-day festival will have performances from artists such as Mother Mother, July Talk, and a Tribe Called Red. This is North America’s largest dragon boating festival!

Glow Fair Festival
(June 16-17, 2017)  Bank Street North
Enjoy a 10-block street party of music, light and art! The heart of the fair’s musical action will take place at the corner of Slater Street and Laurier Avenue. See more than 20 bands and DJ acts at GlowFair and each night at midnight, enjoy a silent disco party! This colourful and lively two-day Ottawa event is free.
